Sewing Success despite MS Hands

Yes! More sewing success for me today! Bobbin and thread threaded successfully just once. Sure, it was just some simple pillowcases... and please don't look at how straight those lines are (laffs). But it's DONE.

Not bad for a silly-sighted old fart, huh? Take THAT, stoopid MS Jelly Hands & Dizzy Fingers!

My little Elna Mini sewing machine; tis perfect for what I need it to do. I've had it for about 15-ish years, and never skips a beat.

I know it may not sound like much, but I successfully used my little sewing machine today. Not bad for an old fart with no feeling in his hands and not-the-best eyesight!

I've been putting off two simple sewing jobs I'd set myself for at least six months - d'oh!

A simple little bag for my Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse (made out of an old [and clean!] tea towel)... and sewing some simple pillow slipcovers for my computer chair.

I know you real sewers will laugh, but it's done... sure the lines aren't perfectly straight etc, but they're functional and practical - which is all I was going for. As far as I'm concerned - success!

Even better... the two times I had to thread the needle on my machine, I got it done the first go each time! Woo hoo!

I've had a small 'hussif' (small sewing kit in a bag) and the machine for like 20+ years - all went well!

  1. Rather like I sew on fallen off buttons. It doesn't look good in close up but they don't come off again.
