Shower

Just a quick one in passing...

The other week, what I thought was an eyelash stuck in my eye, turned out to be a stye, which thankfully cleared-up in just a few days. stupid me kept rubbing my eye, thinking there was an eyelash there - I'd just totally forget about it... didn't help! But all cleared up OK quickly, thankfully.

I almost had another major 'fall/fainting' incident on Wednesday. I'd run out of a few of my major meds, and at the same time my UC decided it was a good time to have a bad flare, keeping me stuck at home. Just as I was going to ring the chemist for their home delivery service, I had to rush to the bathroom... needless to say, I came-to realising that I was sitting under the running water on the floor of my shower. I don't remember getting there! Just felt really giddy and weak - and I was scared of having another bad turn like I did a few months ago, where I ended-up in hospital. Because the UC was literally draining the iron out of my blood (Anemia), I knew I had to act fast before it got worse. This all happened within just 2-1/2 days! Oh... and my right leg thought it would be a good idea to get a blood clot at the same time... everything kinda triggered the other! I think the leg was kinda 'poisoning' my body! Yay me! [laffs]

I was able to ring some good local friends, who were able to come over straight away, pick up my medicines from the chemist for me - which have really helped me bounce back again! Phew! I didn't think I would last until the afternoon home delivery from the chemist! Having my mobile phone handy paid off this time!!!

A few hours later, I am already feeling a lot better, but I'll just take things easy for the next few days. I'll have to cancel my abseiling and paragliding...

Yes, I know... I am an idiot [laffs].

At least the MS is [relatively] behaving itself - that's something...

Listening some XTC (Drums and Wires & Black Sea) is helping me to recover happily - they're on of my all-time-fav bands. Love their quirky angular guitar pop. I still have my vinyl copies of these albums too... remember falling in love with their music when they first came out in 1979  and 1980!
