Two quick photos from Wednesday night

Tom plays a mix of styles for his friends, and it's all good.

Maitlynd and Leah have only been playing together for about 2 months (they'd never played anywhere before coming here), but they have grown amazingly in both confidence and technique in that short time. Whoo hoo!

Other people did play, but the photos simply didn't turn out! Oh well... such is life :)

The busted printer story Part 2...

Quoted cost of getting the old broken printer repaired: $50 PLUS labour.

Cost of a brand-new one I purchased locally yesterday with a full 2-year warranty: $68.

Go figure!

  1. It's not worth getting them fixed, which is a shame for the environment but geez I saw a printer the other day for $47. I can remember paying $500 for one similar back in 1999 or so.

  2. I remember when 9 pin dot matrix printers were $700.
