(*) Recording continues for the "Lancelot's Pram" solo album, with a second night recording some electric guitar ideas at the Milltown Hall last night (Thursday). I didn't hear from Julian (the drummer) at all, but I'd planned to go along to play some music anyways. One or two of the songs I'd thought of doing one way I don't think is going to work, so a change of direction may be needed. It's no biggie.
(*) ABC's supposedly satirical asshats "The Chaser" have aired (and have now supposedly belatedly apoligized and pulled it off the web) a supposed skit they did the other night - about kids with terminal diseases. How totally fucked-up of them. They've no boundaries, obviously... and doing it just to get some reactionary ratings. I'll never ever watch it ever again. I'm totally angry about this shit the ABC seems fit to air on our TV. Grrr.
(*) Then there's the Chinese govt's wholly-illogical reaction to the 20-year anniversary to the Tiananmen Square massacre... as if the rest of the world doesn't know it happened, and as if the Chinese can continue to stop their own people from finding out the truth about their own countryand freely expressing that IN their own country. There is something seriously fucked-up about China's own-peoples' policies...
(*) And I just read that 72-yo actor David Carradine seems to have ended his own life in a hotel in Bangkok. I thought he was really really good in Tarantino's "Kill Bill" films. We'll never know what drives people to come to this solution to put an end to their own lives. RIP.
