Some Good News

A letter written by a British serviceman during the World War II has finally been delivered to his family.

Charles Fleming was stationed in Italy in 1945 when he penned a two-page letter on American Red Cross paper to a woman who he addressed as "dearest".

It remained lost in the system for 64 years but finally arrived at a Royal Air Force base in England this week.

After carrying out some research, staff at the base passed the letter on to Charles Fleming's surviving niece. (Source)

  2. Isn't it nice to have a positive 'warm fuzzy' news story posted from time to time in the news media? it gets so blerfgy when all you read is negative stuff all the time on the news services. Huzaah for some positive news... even if it is 64 years late :)
