BRB

Anita Willey played a sensational set out at Millthorpe yesterday arvo. Nice little cosy cafe venue (with THE worst table service anywhere ever, no exaggeration, which is a real shame) with a few friends was a nice way to spend my day out.

Too bad I spent the last hour-or-so sitting there wracked in radiating pain, which took away a lot from the atmosphere for me somewhat [nb. read 'understatement']. But thems' the breaks.

I'm gonna try and take a bit of a break from playing my own music to people for a little while. I just need to step-back and internally refoccus for a little bit. I'll still happily working on my next album project... even writing new ideas last night and this morning. But I just need to step back from performing live my own stuff for a short while, for my own reasons.

I know what I want to do. I can literally hear it in my head.

But I know I'm simply unable do it, which breaks my heart.

"PurpleGreenBlue... the colour of a bruised soul"

I'll be playing to an audience of one for a little bit.

It's amazing how the weather can change so radically. Yesterday was gloriously sunny, light to no winds, so clear. Today dawned cloudy, wet and with a howling gale!

Just as well I got the backyard grass done yesterday, then.

Oh... and Col? Don't start turning into a creepy stalker around here, alright? Especially when you said you weren't gonna do any online stuff anymore... it's very creepy of you.

  1. Nothing wrong with taking a step back, we all have to do it from time to time.

  2. Do what you have to do. Creepy stalker? Gosh we just found out some very disturbing news ourselves today (my little group of online friends) about someone who is similar. You do have to be careful on the net.

  4. Thanks. it's just a simple case of hearing clearly what i *want* to do in my head, but knowing i simply do not have the physical ability to produce that.

  5. My stalkers were my own sisters' husbands - and no doubt still are - at least I know how dishonest they are - hope yours drops away soon. Hope you feel better soon and can get to sing your music, (which i think as excellent )- to others
