Now that's absurd. Not at all funny, just a waste of an opportunity to actually interact with people in the real world, not the plastic cyber one. You only got one chance to have that night together, and you blew it by playing with your ferking plastic technology.
People, then technology, remember folks? People are always your first priority, not they means by with you communicate with them. When they are sitting at the table right next to you, there's no ferking need to feel the urgent desire to Twitter about it... yes, technobabble bull$#it stuff like this drives me absolutely crazy. Maybe that's the way you do things in the city, but for me... thank fuck I live in the country, where you actually talk to people and not just send them little messages.
Asshats.
Come on, folks, get a grip and live life the way it's meant to be lived.
If I offend - well, you deserve to get offended.
Lonely black dog. Poor sod.
Absurdism is a philosophy stating that the efforts of humanity to find meaning in the universe ultimately fail (and hence are absurd), because no such meaning exists, at least in relation to the individual. The word "absurd" in this context does not mean "logically impossible," but rather "humanly impossible."
The notion of the Absurd contains the idea that there is no meaning to be found in the world beyond what meaning we give to it. This meaninglessness also encompasses the amorality or "unfairness" of the world. This contrasts with "karmic" ways of thinking in which "bad things don't happen to good people"; to the world, metaphorically speaking, there is no such thing as a good person or a bad thing; what happens happens, and it may just as well happen to a "good" person as to a "bad" person.
Because of the world's absurdity, at any point in time, anything can happen to anyone, and a tragic event could plummet someone into direct confrontation with the Absurd.
It's all fascinating, as it makes some sort of nonsensical sense to me, even in the framework of "Ying-Yang" I talked about a few months back.

When I was in hospital there were a couple of girls that would text each other while sitting next to each other... they only did it for a bit of privacy for what they were discussing. Have to admit it was bizarre though
ReplyDeleteI'm voting for the bunny! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm with you about the texting thing too, WTF?
