Still Unwell

I simply won't be able to make it to band rehearsal this evening... three days+ of coughing is exhausting, let alone possibly passing this bug onto the other guys aint fair on them. Eddie is away for two weeks in Sydney for work anyways, so it's upto Julian and Andrew if they're gonna get together and do some rhythm section work tonight.

It's obviously something within me. I must be an asshole. I just don't know how or why?

Why do I never seem to "fit" anywhere? ARGH!

Sorry if I gripe and whine and go all emo every now and again. My support group is small-to-non-existent.

I'm talking shit again, aint I?

Oh well... at least I've got myself a copy of U2's latest album, the just released "No Line on the Horizon". That's something positive, isn't it?

  1. I just wrote and tried to post a comment and it was swallowed up.

Now what did I say. Something like things always feel worse when you are unwell and how you have been so committed and worked hard to organise the band. I wonder if you should sit down with the guys and gauge where they see themselves in 6 months so that you can decide what to do. I don't know what you can do about Eddy; he might just be a transient player. Anyway take care and I hope you sort it. I'm rambling so I'll stop now (hugs)

  2. Hugs, I know how you feel, I thought I got over my weekend bug and its come back! Gah!

As for being an asshole, I don't think so. Sounds like you are more of a doer than a dreamer! You just want to get on with it! I hope it falls into place soon.

Keep smiling (and try not to grit your teeth too hard, dentist bills are expensive).

  3. I'm with Karisma. What she said. Except I don't have that bug. Geez K don't type on my screen okay?

You are a talented guy Mal, just keep plugging away. And don't forget the bread and milk. Wait, did I already say that?

  4. First off I am going to say hugs and I love you mate.

Then I am going to encourage you to take a step back and look at the over all picture. Your three fellow members probably have other commitments apart from the band like work and family.

I know the band is your passion and you want it to be a dream come true but other's minds become sidetracked because of other things happening in their lives.

Maybe it is not as gloomy as you perceived they may just be preoccupied with some other part of their lives.

And being the unemployed, single, depressive person I can relate with you on a lot of levels and I know life is not easy especially when you are coughing up the Ganges.

    hugs

  6. Shelley says words of wisdom. The other guys might have more distractions and that is the reason for their unfocus. As for Eddy - he seems to be a guy in two different places.
