Asshat

Facebook has been an interesting experiment... I've caught-up with some really good people again, some people who found me (and also some who I'll keep at a polite arms-length distance! lol), and some good people who I expected at least some sort of response from - but nothing at all except repeated refusals.

RS, whom we used to work side-by-side and be great friends and comrades - fuck you.

Asshat. What did I ever do to you? Absolutely nothing. Just a bigoted christian asshat, plain and simple, Fuck him. 'tis definitely not my problem.

Then, catch-22... other christians I used to work alongside with happily don't give a toss at all that I have nothing to do with church at all anymore. It doesn't worry them, and doesn't worry me if people do or don't as well. Seems a very few alleged christians have a pretty narrow world-view as to whom they feel they should hang out with. Well... fuck 'em!@ rofl

Good people remain good people. Seems like there was a very good reason why I walked away from some of those close-minded people in the first place, huh? hahahaaa.

  1. maybe walking away from them was good old fashoined Aussie common sense...don't get me started on the mercy and compassion of those who too loudly claim to be christians...

  2. Now see, anything that evokes that kind of emotion can't be good. I'll continue to steer clear of Facebook.

  3. Facebook is a strange combination of exactly what you described. On one hand,it has been great to catch up with some old classmates. On the other hand, it has been a painful reminder of why I let that relationship go away.

In the end, the people who ignore your friend request, are not the people you need in your life. Make it their issue and not yours. Stick with the people who make you feel good. You are a good person, you deserve to be surrounded with people who deserve your friendship.

  5. I went ahead and joined Facebook, thinking I might find some old friends from High School (since my 20 yr reunion is this summer). Then, I realized that the girls I really want to look up - I have no clue what their married names are. And I used my married name - so fuck. I'm out of it.

  6. You tell 'em Mal. You don't need negative people in your life.

Chat was fun yesterday, thanks for that, we should do it more often.

  7. haha! Hence the reason I used my blog name on there. Only people I want can find me! What a shame! Im actually having fun with it. Although all those silly things people throw at you are annoying!

  8. Your excessive use of the term asshats reminded me of an issue last week on my hippy homeschool forum. I was talking about something and used the word "naughty" twice. I was accused by someone as being an excessive user of the word and made to feel like a criminal, (children are NOT naughty you know) then one friend popped up with this..........(I almost posted it on your WALL with a note Dear Asshats leave our MAL alone or his hippy friends are gonna come get you but I thought this was nicer!hehe)............

I do my thing and you do your thing.
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
If not, it can't be helped.

Don't let the asshats get to you Mal, they are everywhere, no matter where we go! Thank god there are NICE people too!
