Times Like This

Eddie and I spontaneously decided to go out for dinner last night. I ended-up with a gorgeous green curry seafood and steak. On our way back home (partially to show Eddie around downtown to help familiarize himself), we stopped at one of the local pubs for one quiet beer.

The it was home for a refreshing cuppa out on the back verandah, out of the days' heat, casually strumming acoustic guitars.

I've dreamed of times like this for years. Yes, good things do happen!

We've experienced a few hot days here... but nothing unbearable, thankfully. Summer's here, for sure!

I took this last summer, about 20kms out of town. A pretty little gully.

Funny things you see downtown on a warm summers' day downtown sometimes... a small gathering of people waving placards handing out flyers... a few of us assumed it was some sort-of protest meeting! Apparently they were some gung-ho argumentative doctrinally-questionable close-minded church sect on the prowl... needless to say most of the locals simply ignored their graceless religious crap, as I did. I pitied the poor clods who tried to simply interact with them...

  1. Aren't we lucky to live in this beautiful country Mal? I think that every day when I open my doors and see the countryside all around us.
Green seafood curry AND steak? Not on the same plate I hope!
