Pain and more Pain

If anyone ever tells you that the pain from a nutso wisdom tooth is a mere doddle... don't believe them.

Hopefully I can get into the dentist today (Monday) so they can do something short-term to stop this debilitating pain wracking the whole right-side of my face... pain that swells until I almost wanna vomit. You get the idea. Various painkillers aint doing anything either.

That's why I haven't been around much. Some of the medication makes me incredibly drowsy and groggy (like I'm stoned or something! No, seriously... sometimes the 'metallic' taste I have in my mouth makes me convinced those old childhood fillings are melting in my mouth! Sheesh!), but the pain prevents me from sleeping for more than 30-minutes at a stretch. I've had about 6 hours sleep in 4 days or something...

It's not good. It's not been a good Xmas week... I've been in too much discomfort (read = understatement) to do anything at all. The medication makes it really unwise for me to drive, so I can't even catch-up with the boys, let alone get out anywhere much. I've grabbed a few groceries in fleeting moments of relative clearheadedness. I'm in too much pain to even feel depressed about it! hahahahaa.

Postscript... I'm feeling really weird right now... I think I'm just really tired... let's hope that's all it is!

There's four new photos taken quickly on the run of my three handsome sons, taken Xmas Day... the first time I'd spent any time with them on an actual Xmas Day in six years. Wonders never cease.

  4. Oh dear- hope you get some satisfaction with the dentist- the antibiotics are obviously not penetrating- don't get meningitis! It was pretty hopeless having to be in pain over Xmas- poor you! I guess life is just suspended into a continuous series of 'wishing it would end'. Hang on- it MUST get fixed eventually. I've never had actual 'toothache' but can imagine it's excruciating. (((hugs)))
