Eddie says Hi

I received a lovely phone call out-of-the-blue from Eddie this evening. Just rang up to keep in touch. That's lovely. The poor guy is still working 24/7 (or so it seems!), and plays now and again when he can.

Of course, we talked music and bands - it's what we have in common. But yeah, it didn't take long before we were chatting about our kids. Dads are still dads! heh heh.

It was nice that he rang. I'm pretty bad that way these days, just ringing people to keep in touch. I used to be pretty good that way... same with regular emails. I think because I end-up writing so much anyways, and on here etc, that i kinda forget to keep up the emails and phone calls. It's nutty.

Oh oh! I literally just got off the phone from a prospective house-mate. She's 34 (good age!), and she's coming around tomorrow at 4pm to have a look at the place, and so we can meet each other etc etc.

Fingers' crossed. For one thing, it'd sure help playing the bills if someone moved in sooner rather than later.

Watch out now, take care
Beware of falling swingers
Dropping all around you
The pain that often mingles
In your fingertips
Beware of darkness

Watch out now, take care
Beware of the thoughts that linger
Winding up inside your head
The hopelessness around you
In the dead of night

Beware of sadness
It can hit you
It can hurt you
Make you sore and what is more
That is not what you are here for

Watch out now, take care
Beware of soft shoe shufflers
Dancing down the sidewalks
As each unconscious sufferer
Wanders aimlessly
Beware of Maya

Watch out now, take care
Beware of greedy leaders
They take you where you should not go
While Weeping Atlas Cedars
They just want to grow, grow and grow
Beware of darkness

  1. I'm horrible about calling people..I really don't like talking on the phone..i'd rather talk face to face.

I hope the room mate will work out.

  2. I'm the worst at keeping in touch. I live such a boring life I can't believe anyone would find it interesting...

Good luck with the prospective housemate

  3. It's become a nasty unconscious habit of mine to fall into the trap of emailing or sms texting someone, rather than calling them, or rather, sitting down over a social cuppa somewhere. Whenever i do catch-up over a cuppa, those are just the best times! I'm gonna try more consciously over the next month to do that more. make the effort.

Thanks for your comments, folks :)
