I definitely do not deserve this, but thank you to Caroline for the kindest gesture. Now of course their are rules and such.
The rules for this award are:
1. Put the logo on your blog
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you
3. Nominate 10 other blogs for this award
4. Add links to those blogs
5. Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs
6. Give a reason why you consider their blogs cool.

Look, I regularly read lots of different blogs, and each one is different from the next. To my way of thinking it'd be almost unfair to just highlight a small handful, as each one has its own unique slant, worldview and viewpoint. Some are amazing, some are pretty ordinary, some I can't read too closely cause they leave me with a sense of inconsolable panic. Some have come and some have gone quietly, unhurriedly passing into the mists of the past. But each single one is precious, special and unique, being but a dim reflection (for us readers) of each of their authors vivid insights into their lifes' particular experience and journey. I always feel honoured and somewhat unworthy that people have chosen to share their lives with me in this way.

Makes blogging much more interesting, in my little way of thinking.

Blog on!

And yes, I'm definitely not "having a good day" today. Menancholia. :(

I wish every single blog post I posted was witty, funny, intelligent, informative, chipper and inspiring. But reality, like life, isn't always like that in practise, is it?

I also know from experience that as soon as I start sharing stuff like this about myself on here, my readership drops to almost zero as a result. Go figure! lol

Mallard Batshit! hahahaa.

  1. Those tag things are a bit of a worry really- I received a Flickr one a few days ago. I sort of felt it was a loyalty thing to pass it on, but it involved setting up so much shit it made me quite cranky. I could have been doing something I LIKE doing! Maybe I'm an old grouch that doesn't like kitschy 'games'- some blogs have so much in them that I consider is just crappy padding that I don't follow them for weeks until I calm down! I'll put my head back in the pile of vegie peelings now...

  2. Yuppers. I used to play those "Memes" a lot a few years ago, until I realised I was only doing them for the sake of doing them. People don't really use them they way they should, especially when they do them like *all* the time. It kinda defeats the purpose of it all... sharing a bit more about yourself, giving you a framework with which to blog stuff about yourself. And the visitors you received as a result just left brainless comments, simply because they didin't actually read anything you posted, but felt obliged to comment. Stoopid catch-22 self-defeating blogging, really.

So yeah, nowdays I rarely do any 'Meme' or tag people or anything like that. Ur right tho... people feel 'obliged' to respond, when there might be something more important for them to be sharing or posting.

    Blah blah blah.

  3. Melancholia...its not good at the time...I have it in short bursts luckily. I heart on ABC Radio some time back a talk on melancholia and what a soul less world it would be without it.

I don't agree with a lot of the religiousy stuff but I was driving when i heard some of it and it made sense...towards the end of the interview is where I came in...I didn't hear the first stuff

This was printed around the same time and is briefer...i printed it out its a bloody celtic thing i am sure...,25197,23280466-5015676,00.html

  4. Now I want to know if I'm one of the "ordinary" blogs. Damn you and your honesty! ;)

Blogging isn't about always being "up", sweetness and light etc. Give us the good AND the bad or it's just not real.

I love that I have my fellow bloggers to lift my spirits when they are low, and they always do.
