Ouch!

Unexpected news... Eddie rang on Friday arvo with some unfortunate news. He's had his right hand crushed in a work accident! OUCH!

He was seeing the doctor yesterday arvo, and he'll try and ring here tonight, to see how serious the damage is.

Needless to say, it'll be a miracle if Eddie is able to play guitar for a little while!

Bugger!!! Just when he was available to get back into it all again. Dagnammit.

I'm having a few minor difficulties getting those band recordings happening... silly technology. But it'll happen in the next day or two, fingers' crossed. It's all good.

Sydney, just over the mountains, has been almost washed away with torrential rainfall this week. Us? We've had like about 3mm in a week here... that's the equivalent to about a slight misty drizzle... GAGH!

I went to watch a local pub rock band "The Mill Thumpers" at The Family Hotel last night (something I don't do too often). I didn't stay too long, only had three beers (honest! I swear! lol), and only watched them play two c.40-minute sets. They were just a classic three-piece Aussie pub rock band playing 60's & 70's rock 'hits', but the singer was a real rock singer with an amazing larynx! Tis fun to listen to now and again (these days I much prefer more intimate musical events!), but I must be getting old... it was a bit too loud for me! hahahahahaaa.

Woke up this morning with a headache... how is it possible to have a hangover after only three beers?

Oh, and for the record, "Thoon" and "Mr Hoon" are two separate entities! hahahaa.

Both love hanging out and about in water, tho.

  1. Mac Rebennack (Dr. John, who's real first name is Mal, btw) was actually a guitarist until he was shot in the hand. Just saying...

  2. Looks like Eddie's right hand is his plectrum hand, so maybe he could do a Hendrix and play with his teeth until his hand is better? Seriously, I hope his injury isn't too serious and heals quickly.

Oh, and on that headache thing? I'm sorry to break the news mate but getting a hangover after three beers is a sign that you're getting old. You need to get into a program to deal with it... start by drinking three beers every night until you don't get hangovers any more, then slowly increase to three, four, five etc. beers a night. In a year you should be able to work up to having a dozen a night with no problems.

  3. I haven't been able to contact Eddie, so I'm not sure how his hand is coming along. But not hearing from him isn't a good sign?

Ahhh! That explains it! Maybe I should have been drinking like a dozen beers instead, and drunk myself sober or something? lol.
    Definitely not!
