Storms

Wow... it sure did storm here yesterday arvo... but only for about ten minutes! Built up built up built up for like two or three hours... running about unplugging things, getting things under cover, all the normal storm safety stuff one does. Making sure the boat is going to be alright, that kinda thing. Clothes off the line... even tho our lines are undercover... didn't want a shirt or a pair of boxers blowing across Bathurst...

Ten minutes are a lot of rainfall, it was all over! Pooh! A real anti-climax.

Apparently, it kept traveling east and hit western Sydney pretty hard. Lots of damage from hail and minor flash flooding and all that norty stuff.

We got none of that here. Just looked pretty awesome coming across, and even as it kept heading across the moutains to the east, with the sun bouncing off it. But the storm kinda went flash-bang, and simply left quickly. That seems to happen a lot to us. Gawd knows we need the rainfall, good gawd yes!

It's still so dry out this way. Any lush greenness in the surrounding countryside that seemed apparent back in November/early December has all browned and died off now. Even the water level at the main town dam is starting to drop again.

And no, those aint my pics... just some nice stuff I found on Flickr... but the forming clouds did kinda had that same eerie orange glow about them.

Having another musical jam tomorrow arvo, with Matt and J at J's place. We're all enjoying playing together so much at the moment, we're trying to get together as often as we possibly can! People are busy/working over the weekend, so we've slotted in a few hours late afternoon after work. Yay!

Yes yes... the boys are getting together for a playdate! [giggles]

I only played for an hour today... I must be starting to slow down again. (That's a joke, by the way...).

New guitar seems to be motivating me in all sorts of different ways... I've even started writing new songs and music again.

It's been a long time. Way too long. So yeah - it's all good.

Sometimes I seem to 'struggle' (wrong word) about my posts... fighting a balance between trying to "create art" (who am I kidding, right? heh heh), and light prattle. In the end, it doesn't matter, does it? It's my little place in the sun, and I'm happy with it. In the end, that's all that matters.

Some posts work better than others. That's just like life. Some days seem brighter than others.

I'm happy with that.
