Guitar Guitar Guitar Strum Strum Strum

It's still all good. I've been playing a new guitar for like 3 hours each day for the past few days (well, it seems like it). But yeah, it's nice to have the motivation to play and play and play again. It's been a LONG time since I've played so much like this.

It's positive for me. It's all good :)

Now... all I need to do is remember to take a photo of my new guitar to show everyone. (cf at the end of the post)

Stop press... this is not my guitar, but it's the same make, model, style and even almost the same colour as mine. Gotta love the Bigbsy Tremolo as well - yay!

Stop Press... it's an Ibanez... but it's got the whole Gretsch feel to it. Plays like a dream (seriously, it's a GOOD guitar!) - and half the price of a Gretsch, Fender or Gibson - thank you very much.

This is my guitar... it's a "Sea-Spray Green". Looks pretty groovy, huh?

  2. Lovely instrument - have you come across this poem, 'The Man With the Blue Guitar' by Wallace Stevens? It's very long, but here's the first verse...

    I
The man bent over his guitar,
A shearsman of sorts. The day was green.

They said, “You have a blue guitar,
You do not play things as they are.”

The man replied, “Things as they are
Are changed upon the blue guitar.”

  3. Thanks ladies. It's an Ibanez... a Gibson or a Gretsch were WAAAAAAAAY out of my price range... but the beauty of this one is that it sounds and play exactly like one of those! And that's no lame boast! It's a beauty!
Mine's more of a green, really. I'll try to remember to take some pics tomorrow.
And yes yes yes... things change for the better when you play music on a guitar... any instrument, really ;) Thanx for the poem :)
