Tis someone I know. Nice guy tho. No, he really is. Explains a lot about him tho too.
Just as well he got out of "churchianity" a few years ago too. The guilt and anxiety would have been mindless, albeit dogmantic.

ReplyDeletefinally caught up with all your posts team Gherkin - I had been busy and some of you got away on me.
Thank god I am an early riser
I believe you, 100% that he is a great guy. I'm so glad there are people like you who look beyond the "labels" or "mental health issues" and see the person inside. I wish more people would do that.
ReplyDeleteYour a good person and friend.
Keep on strumming.
Geez poor guy! I agree with the above poster, looking behind the labels is great, he's got a great friend in you.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, he's a nice guy, but he's almost always misunderstood, especially by his ex-wife, who didn't have the patience to work thru things with him, especially when he needed her to be by his side. Tis very sad. He's never really recovered from such personal rejection, and finds it hard to connect with people these days. It takes him like a year to feel comfortable to trust people enough again to be able to confide in them sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you know the guy, surely?
