Done and done

My annual house inspection went off without a hitch... all over in 3 minutes! Whew and wOOt :) Now my little home is sparkling... even the goldfish is happy [I think?]. Well, he hasn't told me he's happy, and I think that's a good thing... when he starts talking back, it's time to really start to worry...

And thankfully that &^%$#@ headache that woke me up waaay too early this morning has gone too.

Now all I need is to stop all these new song ideas and concepts from flowing long enough so I can actually sit down and *record* some of the suckers! [blushes]

Last night at the singer-songwriters was a nice quiet positive night, actually - thankfully. I ended-up just sitting quietly in the corner 'guitar doodling' for a bit, not really aware that people were actually listening to every note! Whups! How embarrassing. I really do love to play, but I admit I'm feeling a little 'stale' playing some of my songs over and over. I just really want to get some of these new songs up and presentable, so I can play them instead. [I sound like such a pretentious twat when I say stuff like that sometimes, don't I? I don't mean to!]

It's really quite funny... I've got so many different ideas and concepts for new songs or 'items' that I don't know what to do with them all. I think some of the stuff I've got in my head is really quite 'personal' and 'serious', rather than the normal light-hearted dribble I write. I'm not sure exactly what to do with them yet, that's all :) But there *are* some fun light-hearted songs in the works as well!

I'm not going to be a totally pretentious twat and put them *all* on my next CD tho! lol. I might just record some as online items only, perhaps? Like on a seperate podcast? I dunno... just thinking aloud :)

A large part of me would be really happy just to sit in the background and musically accompany some people as well (bass, guitar, percussion, a bit of vocal harmonies etc), and just help them out... that'd be something I'd love to do too... hmmmm....
Peas be with ewe

  1. I really hope you do record some of the deeper stuff Mal. Many of us can relate so well to that, you can balance it with the fun stuff.

Glad the inspection (bloody real estate type people) went well and that you got over your headache.
