Salutations

I'm playing TWO live solo music spots this week... Tuesday nite at the Mt Victoria Hotel (Blue Mountains, about a 90-minute-drive away), and Wed nite at The Kings Hotel, Bathurst. The solo album is progressing well... looking towards an end-of -August release. It's all good :) I'm still writing bloody songs - yet another one on Saturday! I'll probably have enough for another album already! I guess that'll be my NEXT project! hahahahaa. As it is there are at least 19 songs I'm working on recording for this "Lancelot's Pram" album, so in the end I can just choose the best 13/14-or-so titles to put on the album. I can always re-record stuff that doesn't 'work' at a later stage - if it's worth salvaging, that is!

Playing most of this stuff live in front of an audience [albeit a small one] is sure helping work out what 'works' and what doesn't.

Oh, I must sound like such a prat talking like that... but yeah... it's just all for a bit of fun, not to become a star or any $#it like that, I swears! At least I'm happy with the current batch of songs - makes for a nice change. If others aint into it, that's fine too.

I had a bloke I know only in passing come over for a good hanging-out-and-jam time yesterday arvo here. He plays songs I've never done before... jazz standards from the 1920's and 30's... and he's really good at it! It sure stretched me playing along with him, but it was truly a soul-refreshing time doing something totally different for me. "A good time was had by all".

Having him come over here gave me the motivation to tidy the place up... not that the place here is 'dirty', but with guitars, stands, leads etc etc laying all thru the back room, it was looking rather cluttered! (The joys of living on my own and trying to record music at the same time! heh heh). I'd forgotten what the floor out the back looked like... [kidding].

I gave Thoon's fishtank a quick clean as well... I couldn't believe how COLD the water felt! I swear that goldfish (who's about 5-years-old now) will survive thru anything!

I've still got that tail-edge of a small cold hanging around... it's just a lingering thing that's more annoying than anything dramatic.

Love the cat in the guitar. And you don't sound like a prat, I'm just so happy you're enjoying your music and spreading the joy.
