First bit

The band (in its current incarnation) is no more, as Julian and I agreed together on Monday.

There's been no huge negative blow-up nor any agro... nothing like that at all. It's simply a case of not everyone being available at the same place at the same time. Makes for organising and planning any future direction as a band somewhat impossible. So we've pulled the pin.

I simply cannot put into succinct words my feelings of sad disappointment. It's a bitter personal blow, as I feel I'm playing as well as I have in a long time. I'll just leave it at that.

Julian and I will continue to play together, but we will once again seek other people to come alongside and play with us. For the fourth (?) time, we start again from scratch. It's sure taking all the 'fun' out of it, huh?

That's the first big bit of news. The second I cannot reveal on here as of yet... but let me just infer that it's health related, and it is life-threatening, if what they say is (as-of-yet-to-be) confirmed.

I simply won't continue on this journey alone, if they say it is what it is.

  1. Hugs to you on both the band situation, and on the other health situation.

I know how frustrating it is when something that is working can't continue, but maybe something good will fall into place.

I hope the health thing turns out to be not as bad as it seems to be.

  4. No you most certainly are not alone, you have many people who care about you. So we haven't met, we are still in each others' lives.

I don't often pray, but I'm saying one for you my friend.

  14. Oh dear, Mal! The world seems a shit for you at the moment- except for your lovely boys.
Just keep up as much music as you can- perhaps you can do some online collaborations with people like Chris Loft, here in Adelaide? (see Facebook).
The health issue...can't comment until I know what you're talking about.
We all love you on here and some of us would love to visit/be visited IRL. Have a chat with KDFrawg on Plurk- he's been through some majorly nasty health issues and seems to have some good strategies- and he's still around!
    Hugs xx ((hugs))
