Comparison

Here's two photos contrasting how the Patterson's Curse weed dies back, even with all the rain we've had around here lately. All of these I have taken, just near Carcoar Dam Sailing Club near Blayney, central NSW. (Click on a pic to see a larger one open in a new window).

It's amazing how the stuff is still around, albeit not as aggressively. A lot of it has either died off or just kinda slackened off somehow. You can see how there are other flowering things in amongst it as well here...


To answer "MOTD"'s question, they are power generating Wind Turbines, on the hilltops right nearby. We might not have much water to sail on at the moment, but there's always some wind to be had, for sure!

  2. Mate - that Patterson's Curse just gets anywhere and everywhere. I can still remember seeing purple fields of it up north.
